Revenge or Forgiveness in Jurek Becker's "Bronsteins Kinder"

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the work Bronsteins Kinder written by a German author of Jewish birth Jurek Becker. The historical context is introduced at first to enable better understanding of the novel, whose main task is the answer to the question: "What happened with Jews who survived in the GDR after the World War II?" Then, the thesis is focused on introduction of the author and finally on the work itself with the main theme "Revenge or Forgiveness", where Jurek Becker offers a view of two generations which are separated by experiences from a concentration camp and so creates a different view of this subject matter. After more detailed analysis of the work with the interpretation, it follows focusing on the important elements which constitute the plot of the novel
